The Literary Café

History

cafenea_group_banner1The Romanian Library and Literary Café are open every third Sunday of the month for three hours, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at the Ponsonby Community Centre. We hope this event will be more than just a library where Romanian books can be borrowed and returned. We envision it as a monthly social opportunity for our community members to meet, connect, and build friendships.

We provide tea, coffee, and snacks, and we hope you’ll bring good vibes and be ready for pleasant conversations. If you’d like to bring a snack or dessert to share with the community, it would be wonderful, but it’s not mandatory.

If you’re interested in setting up a small stall to sell your handmade products during our event, we’d be delighted to offer this opportunity and support your promotion within the community. Please note that alcohol sales are not permitted during the event.

To participate with a stall and showcase your products, please email us with details about the items you’d like to sell and the space required for your stand. We’d be happy to provide additional information and discuss placement possibilities.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been involved in this project. It has been a challenging endeavor, requiring significant effort and countless hours of work. Without your help and dedication, this achievement would not have been possible.

We look forward to seeing you at the Literary Café, where together we will start a new chapter in the history of our community!
